Welcome to a special Newsletter # 3.5 Mid-August Bonus Edition of the Elite College Insider.

🚨 BONUS INSIDER: The College Soccer Season Is Live: Here’s How to Watch It All

The 2026 college soccer season is officially underway, so we are releasing a special Mid-August Bonus Edition. Learn how to find and watch college soccer games across the country, what families should study while watching, which teams and players begin the season on top, and exactly what an incoming ninth-grade player should focus on this year.

This is not the beginning of a new twice-monthly publishing schedule. Our full Parent Intelligence Brief will remain a monthly resource, but certain moments are too important to wait.

🚨 The new college soccer season is officially here!!!

Women’s matches are already underway, men’s action arrives this week, and thousands of games will be available to watch live or on demand. That means the most useful and underused recruiting classroom in the country has reopened: actual college soccer games.

Families spend thousands of dollars traveling to showcases, camps, tournaments, and recruiting events without first sitting down to watch the level their player says he or she wants to reach. Players recognize school names and logos, but many have never watched 90 uninterrupted minutes of those teams competing.

That needs to change.

This bonus edition will show you how to find and watch nearly any college soccer game that has a legal live broadcast, which platforms carry different programs, what your player should study, and how watching the game can improve recruiting decisions.

💡 A Coach’s Perspective: How to Know Where You Stand on a Recruiting Board: Free Bonus Section

As a college coach, I want to share an essential reality that parents and players need to understand about the recruiting process: responsiveness equals interest.

While coaching staffs are often busy during the season, the truth is that coaches communicate much more quickly with their top recruits than with secondary prospects.

Here is how to interpret a program's responsiveness and gauge your standing:

  • Staff Size Matters: Pay attention to the number of full-time staff members, not just the total number of coaches listed on the roster.
    • 3+ Full-Time Staff: If a program has multiple full-time coaches, you should expect a response within 3 to 4 days. If you reach out via email, text, or call and hear nothing back within that window, you are likely not currently at the top of their recruiting board. While they may not give you a robust communication back, even something as simple as "hey, thanks for reaching out, we're on a road trip and will be back in 5 days and can talk more then" is still significant.
    • 1 Full-Time Coach: If the program relies on a single full-time head coach, a response window of up to 7- 10 days is reasonable, as single-coach programs handle a high volume of administrative work.
  • What Delay Really Means: If a staff isn't getting back to you promptly, it typically means they are prioritizing other recruits for your position. It does not mean you are completely off their radar or shouldn't stay in touch. Recruiting boards change constantly, and if a top choice commits elsewhere, you may become their next priority.
  • Don't Wait Around: Explore Your Options: Too many recruits hold on to a single school for too long while waiting for a response. Until you are formally committed, you are free to explore other opportunities. Cover your bases, broaden your list, and focus on programs that prioritize you.

I hope that helps!

Article 1: 📺 How To Watch Almost Every College Soccer Game In 2026

For years, watching college soccer meant searching individual school websites and hoping a game was televised. That is no longer the case.

For the 2026 season, ESPN will present 1,110 men’s matches, including more than 1,000 on ESPN+, and more than 1,980 women’s matches, including over 1,750 on ESPN+. Those numbers do not include the many additional games available through B1G+, FloCollege, conference networks, and individual college athletic departments.

In other words, your family can now watch more college soccer than ever before. Get All Your Answers Below!
